DIY Navy and Green Wedding

This past weekend I coordinated a really fun DIY wedding, kicking off my busy season of events and weddings. People think summer is wedding season, but in the South the most popular time for weddings is actually Fall. The weather is perfect and the trees are gorgeous, plus most importantly your wedding guests won't melt in the heat! The weather for Liz & Adam's wedding this weekend was simply perfect. Fall in the South - who knew?!

Here are my photos, I can't to check out the professional pictures!

Liz was an art major in college and her artistic touches shone throughout the entire wedding, including drawing all the signage. Isn't she so talented??

The ceremony was outdoors in that perfect weather I was talking about. I loved the poms lining the aisle.

Personal touches were all over this wedding. The party favors were personalized pint glasses with tandem bikes.

The bike made its way onto napkins...

...and on personalized matchbooks.

The personalized M&Ms and candies were a big hit, especially with all the flowers girls who scooped them up every chance they got!

Liz sewed the navy chevron table runners which turned out awesome.  The beautiful green and white flower arrangements were from Willow Branch Flowers.

I loved the dried split peas in jars with votives, so creative!

See that pennant banner on the Trolley below? Liz made that too of course :) The cupcake table was adorable, I loved the green and white chevron cupcake holders.

Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs! This couple was so sweet and easy to work with, I wish them all the happiness in the world. I can't wait to share the professional photos with you!

I don't know about you, but it's starting to get cold here and I think today might be my first boot day of the year. Yay! Make it a great week!

Caramel Apple Cocktail

Well hello there.....I'm here to tell you this fine Wednesday that sometimes procrastination can pay off. You see, I've had this post ready since last fall but just never got around to posting it. So I waited an entire year and boom...I have a brand new post for you, and I think it was worth the wait!

My talented friend and photographer Kristen LeQuire and I styled this photo shoot last fall to showcase a yummy fall cocktail. This Caramel Apple Cocktail has just two ingredients:

Whipping up this cocktail is beyond simple. Fill your cocktail glass with delicious, Angry Orchard apple cider and top it off with a splash (or more) of Smirnoff's Caramel Vodka. Stir, garnish with an apple and you've got yourself a Caramel Apple in a glass!

Now for the prettinees. We were able to shoot this at Kristen's neightbors house in his beautiful outdoor courtyard. We also enlisted the help of my adorable friend Hillary so I wouldn't be drinking alone.

Making it look natural while laughing (even with your best friend) can be difficult when you know someone is taking your photo. Hence the semi-awkard photo below.

I love the pops of orange color in this shoot.

How perfect is this orange door with a shovel hanging on the back?

We styled a rusty old bar cart for the shoot.

I loved this mini arrangement we did, the leaves came from the ground and were perfect!

I loved these vignettes Kristen put together from our fun shoot.

If you're not into a super sweet cocktail, just sip on an Angry Orchard instead. It's a sparkly, dry cider that is perfect for watching football and celebrating fall!

Three cheers to fall!

Pumpkin Party Decor

In case you weren't aware, it's Friday baby! And better yet, I'm doing my first pumpkin-related post of the fall. Can it get any better than this?

I've got two brides this fall that are both using pumpkins as part of their decor. (Think white pumpkins as aisle decor and metallic pumpkins for table centerpieces.) As an American woman, I love all things pumpkin - it's sort of comes with the territory. Pumpkin Spice Latte - check. Pumpkin flavored food - check. Pumpkin party decor - double check.

Let's celebrate the season by looking through fabulous pumpkin-inspired party and wedding decor.

Ohhh Martha Stewart you evil genius. I'm sure she was the first to do the pumpkin cooler idea, and of course she's smart enough to put a bowl inside the pumpkin to soak up all the condensation.

I'm OBSESSED with this idea.  A no carve pumpkin party makes perfect sense because really, carving pumpkins makes a big ole mess plus its hard to do with a glass of wine in your hand. I can spray paint or throw on some glitter with one hand no problem. A great idea for a girls night in!

Speaking of glitter.... This is gorge. Love the polka dots!

Hello lovely...this half dipped golden placecard is gorgeous. Plus it's a party favor.

Here are some other golden pumpkin place cards. This is how to make pumpkins more "elegant" and less "hayride."

White pumpkins are my fave. Who knew a pumpkin could be so classy?

I adore this fall tablescape and pumpkin used as a vase.

I also love this carved pumpkin table number. How clever!

I hope you enjoyed this pumpkin blog here on Jackie Fo on what I'm sure will be the first of many! Happy pumpkin-ing!
