That's right, I made my own pizza crust!

I don't mean to boast, and for all of you that have done this before, I know you are thinking it's no big deal. BUT. I made my own pizza today. From scratch. I'm sorry, but I rock.

Tonight's Oscar viewing plans changed a bit and we decided to just watch it ourselves at home. So I wanted to make something good but that wasn't a big production.... get it... production? Good thing I just bought Pioneer Woman's cookbook. As I was flipping through, praising the greatness that is Pioneer Woman, I decided to make her pizza crust.

Here is the dough after rising for 2 hours:

Here is me flipping it in the air:

Kidding, you don't have to do that.

Finished product... We added mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, roma tomatoes and the typical spices... It was delish if I do say so myself ;) Thanks Pioneer Woman!

and to top it off... a little peek of springtime on my kitchen table... I really wanted tulips but they weren't available at my store... these bright carnations did the trick :)

Off to watch the Oscars - my full dress report in tomorrow's post... just call me your blogging Joan Rivers ;)

  1. I love making my own pizza, not only for the crust but because I only like the tomatoe sauce I make myself to put on top of it. Yours looks absolutely delicious. Have a super week. Blessings. xxx

  4. Pink carnations always remind me of the SATC post it episode. I loooove homemade pizza!

  5. Ah! I was going to reference the Sex and the City episode ... i love when she knocks over the carnations... Berger was not cool.
